Wakehurst again heading to Allianz Stadium with Wakehurst minis and junior players, coaches, managers and parents as part of the Waratahs Juniors March Past. This was a great club and team bonding session and fun night out! The club organised a coach from the clubhouse for most people and we met the others at the ground.
The club was well represented in the walk around stadium and then everyone got to their seats to watch the Waratahs in action against the Sunwolves. To add to the excitement of the march past one of our parents won a Waratahs members prize and has his sons ran on the field with the waratahs players just before the game Harry (7) with Bernard Foley and Hamish (5) with Damien Fitzpatrick.
The game was a fantastic record breaking result for the Waratahs, they have now booked a spot in the Super Rugby finals and put themselves within one win of a guaranteed home semi-final after beating the Sunwolves 77-25.
The Tah’s were trailing by six points in the first half, but they kept their nerve and their position at the top of the Australian conference by scoring an incredible 12-tries-to-3.
