It's the start of another year and with 4 teams making the Grand Finals in last years season, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever. If you are keen to play the great game of Rugby or simply can't wait to play again this year, then click on the registration forms above and submit them to the Club a.s.a.p.

This year the 'Go Forward' Club on the Northern Beaches is gearing up for our best season in a long time. We've top dressed our oval, we're raising the flags, and we've been training the coaches to ensure we provide the players with the best opportunity to play the game, enjoy the game, and win for their Club

Christmas Drinks Working Bee

You can get it clearin’ a change room, you can get it moppin’ your brow, you can get it fillin’ a shed...matter of fact I got it now!

Put Saturday 19th November in your diary to come down to the club at 3pm to help create one of the best motivational spaces for our teams in 2012!

Because our teams enjoyed such success following their pre-game and half-time rev-ups from the coach, we are making sure that our change rooms are always clear and ready for the boys to use each week.

The boys get a great psychological advantage from using this hallowed space so come and spend an hour of your Saturday afternoon helping to move the equipment over to the new container and follow it up with an ice cold beer…

2011 Wakehurst Rugby End of Year Camp

Each year a group of players and their dads go on the annual end of year camp to a large property out in western NSW for a long weekend of camping, fishing, and riding motor bikes.

It's a great way for the kids to get out and enjoy a different part of life, and to go on one last adventure with their team mates for the year.

This year was no different as the boys and their dads spent the last weekend in October doing all of the above, and of course in true father and son camping style, no showering either.

Thanks as always goes to a great Club supporter 'Woodie' for providing the venue and a majority of the bikes, to our Club Secretary Andrew Riggs for organising the event and being the pit crew for all bikes over the weekend, and to all the dads who came along and helped out.

Bronze Medal - Wallabies' last chance at success

Wales and Australia will look back on their semi-finals with contrasting emotions, but both have to face the same, cold reality that they will now have to wait another four years before they have the chance to lift the Webb Ellis Cup. All that remains for the two teams is the battle for bronze at Eden Park this Friday.

After a dismal performance against a pumped All Black side, the Wallabies' only hope is to salvage the Bronze and come home with a respectable third.

Annual General Meeting

The Wakehurst Rugby Club AGM will be held on Thursday 20th October upstairs in the Clubhouse. Further details to follow shortly on time and agenda.

This is a great opportunity for you to get involved with your Club, as along with all normal matters arising, a portion of the meeting is allocated to appointing the Club committee for 2012 so if you haven't filled out your forms included in the 2011 Annual Reports handed out on presentation night, then you better be quick.

Our great Club is built on the tradition of 'community' so come along and be apart of the 2011 AGM.

U14's 2011 Fiji Tour - Day 13 & Home

Day 13 and after a great Fiji Tour we prepare for the trip home. This has been an experience the boys will never forget and while we leave behind some new friends, we take with us memories that will last a lifetime.

We spent the day with one last shop, one last swim, and one last dinner before an early flight home. Click here for a full report

Day 12 sees the team spend one last day enjoying all Fiji has to offer. Sun, sand, shopping, and our mate Ace who we think enjoys laughing at us more than laughing with us on occassion.

U14's 2011 Fiji Tour - Day 11

The U14 Wakehurst team shares some of the evenings celebrations with the half back from the apposing Fiji U14 team.

Today was a day of mixed activities with a number going fishing, others playing golf, while others visited the town of Sigatoka again or stayed at the Crows Nest Resort.
